Is SnapComplete Really Free?
Yes. The overwhelming majority of SnapComplete is free forever with no account gate. You can browse every card, variant, album, deck, and cosmetic. You can sync your collection. You can track matches, view replays, plan your completion timeline, compare bundles, open the pack simulator, and see your percentile rankings on the leaderboard, all without paying a cent. Premium ($5/mo, cheaper on longer plans) unlocks power-user extras: advanced sorts, deeper filters, more replay slots, extended history, name visibility on leaderboards, and a handful of other upgrades. Premium is supporter money. The core feature set works without it.
What You Get for Free
This is the full free experience, not a demo. Match tracking across Ranked, Conquest, and Limited Time Game Modes with turn-by-turn replays. Three starred replay slots to permanently save your best games. Personal deck stats showing win rate, cube rate, and games played for every deck you've piloted. Community deck stats on the Decks page with win rates and cube rates aggregated across all tracked players. Full collection tracker with ownership status, filters, sorts, and wishlist planning across every released card, variant, avatar, emote, card back, title, and album. Completion timeline projecting when you'll hit Collectors Complete and Snap Complete based on your real token balance, income, and pack pool state. Bundle rankings with VALUE% efficiency scores for USD and Gold offers, goodie tier adjustments, and current shop coverage. Pack simulator with your real collection for authentic pack odds (free accounts open up to 5 packs per day). Leaderboards with percentile tiers (top 1%, 3%, 5%, 10%, 25%, 50%) on every card for five metrics.
What Premium Adds
Premium is $5 a month (or less on multi-month plans) and is about comfort and depth, not access. More replay slots (100 saved replays instead of 3). Longer time filters (Last Season, All Time, custom date ranges on match history, deck stats, and meta views). More ranking depth (Pursue targets at Top 10, Top 3, and Rank 1 tiers). Name visibility on leaderboards when you're inside the top 10% of a metric. Premium sorts including Album Value (VPV), Remaining Rewards, Split Timeline, cube rate sort on meta, and card-unlock-aware VALUE% on bundles. Premium filters including Day 1 across all collection pages, Featured Location and opponent rank on decks, minimum VALUE% threshold on bundles, Album Progress filter across variants and bundles. Live match banner showing your current opponent's name, Collection Level, and Season Points in real time while you play with bot detection right in the banner. Unlimited pack simulator opens with batch sizes up to 1,000 packs. Wishlist automation with automatic shop monitoring 3x daily plus opt-in email alerts. The Premium page has the full feature-by-feature matrix grouped by page.
Pricing
Three plans. All give identical features, different billing cadence:
| Plan | Total | Effective Rate | Discount |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monthly | $5 | $5.00/mo | |
| 4 Months | $15 | $3.75/mo | Save 25% |
| 6 Months | $20 | $3.33/mo | Save 33% |
Pay with any major card. Stripe processes everything; SnapComplete never sees your payment details. All three plans auto-renew at the end of their billing period. Cancel any time with one click from account settings, and your cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period so you keep the features you already paid for through that date. There's no free trial because there's nothing to trial. The free plan already covers everything most players need.
Why SnapComplete Charges at All
Running the site costs real money. Supabase database, CDN bandwidth, match tracking infrastructure, and analytics add up to a recurring monthly bill that doesn't stop regardless of how many people visit. Ads were considered early on and ruled out because they'd slow the site down and clutter the interface on mobile, where most of the audience lives. The pricing is set on the low end of competitor ranges intentionally, and the features behind the paywall were picked because they're specifically the ones where a subset of users get measurably more value. The completion timeline helps anyone. Custom-date match history filters help the 2% of players rebuilding a specific season's stats. That's the split. Current supporters keep the lights on. If premium ever disappears, the free tier stays intact.
Common Questions About the Pricing
Can I cancel any time? Yes. One click in your account settings. No cancellation fee, no questions asked. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
Is there a free trial? No. The free plan itself is effectively a permanent trial of the whole site.
Do I lose my data if I let premium lapse? No. Match history, replays (up to the free limit), collection, settings, and everything else stays intact. You lose access to premium-only filters and sorts until you resubscribe.
What payment methods work? Credit cards and debit cards through Stripe. No PayPal, no crypto, no gift cards.
What about lifetime pricing? No lifetime tier. The ongoing costs of running the site are recurring, so the pricing matches that. Multi-month plans are the closest equivalent.
Is SnapComplete a non-profit? No, just a small indie site. The site is built and maintained by imjosh, who funds everything himself through premium subscriptions and out of pocket.
