Is SnapComplete Really Free?
Yes. Nearly all of SnapComplete is free forever, with no account gate. Browse every card, variant, album, deck, and cosmetic, sync your collection, track matches, watch replays, plan your completion timeline, compare bundles, open the pack simulator, and read your percentile rankings on the leaderboard, all without paying a cent.
Premium ($5/mo, cheaper on longer plans) unlocks the power-user extras: advanced sorts, deeper filters, more replay slots, extended history, name visibility on leaderboards, and a handful of other upgrades. It's supporter money. The core feature set runs fine without it.
What You Get for Free
Free accounts get all of this:
- Match tracking across Ranked, Conquest, and Limited Time Game Modes. Turn-by-turn replays with card placements, energy usage, and cube outcomes. 3 starred replay slots to permanently save your best games.
- Personal deck stats showing win rate, cube rate, and games played for every deck you've piloted.
- Community deck stats on the Decks page with win rates and cube rates aggregated across all tracked players.
- Full collection tracker with ownership status, filters, sorts, and wishlist planning across every released card, variant, avatar, emote, card back, title, and album.
- Completion timeline projecting when you'll hit Collectors Complete and Snap Complete from your real token balance, income, and pack pool state.
- Bundle rankings with VALUE% efficiency scores for USD and Gold offers, goodie tier adjustments, and current shop coverage.
- Pack simulator that uses your real collection for authentic pack odds. Free accounts open up to 5 packs per day.
- Leaderboards: percentile tiers (top 1%, 3%, 5%, 10%, 25%, 50%) on every card for five metrics (Mastery, Splits, Net Wins, Variants, Avatars), plus global rankings across dozens of categories.
- Splits and mastery tracking with the full filter bar, cosmetic combos per card, and rankings versus the entire userbase.
- Match sharing, Rama-Tut simulator, tier list builder, Featured Sets, wishlist, and every other tool on the site.
None of these sit behind a subscription.
What Premium Adds
At $5 a month (less on multi-month plans), Premium adds convenience and depth, never access to the core features. Some highlights:
- More replay slots: 100 saved replays instead of 3, so your best games stay permanent.
- Longer time filters: Last Season, All Time, and custom date ranges on match history, deck stats, and meta views. Free plan covers Today, Yesterday, This Week, Last Week, This Season.
- More ranking depth: pursue and defend targets down to Top 10, Rank 3, Rank 2, and Rank 1. Free users get the Top 1% tier only.
- Name visibility on leaderboards when you're inside the top 10% of a metric.
- Premium sorts: Album Value (VPV), Remaining Rewards, # of Completions on albums. Split Timeline and # of Owners on splits. Card-unlock-aware VALUE% on bundles.
- Premium filters: Day 1 across all collection pages. Featured Location, opponent rank, and time period on decks. Minimum VALUE% threshold on bundles. Album Progress filter across variants and bundles.
- Live match banner: see your current opponent's name, Collection Level, and Snap Points in real time while you play. Bot detection right in the banner.
- Per-card cube impact on your deck stats (tap any card to see how drawing it changes your win rate).
- Unlimited pack simulator opens and batch sizes up to 1,000 packs at once.
- Wishlist automation: automatic shop monitoring 3x daily (even when you don't sync), plus opt-in email alerts when wishlisted items appear.
- Currency and competitive stats: lifetime tokens, gold, and credits spent; Snap Points rankings; lifetime wins and snaps totals; Infinite speed leaderboards; Conquest border metrics; Infinity Conquest Avatar tracking.
- Shop convenience: past-season bundle filters, web-exclusive highlighting, featured-set full value breakdowns.
The Premium page has the full feature-by-feature matrix grouped by page.
Pricing
Three plans. All give identical features, different billing cadence:
| Plan | Total | Effective Rate | Discount |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monthly | $5 | $5.00/mo | None |
| 4 Months | $15 | $3.75/mo | Save 25% |
| 6 Months | $20 | $3.33/mo | Save 33% |
Pay with any major card. Stripe processes everything; SnapComplete never sees your payment details.
All three plans auto-renew at the end of their period: monthly every month, the 4-month plan every 4 months, the 6-month plan every 6 months. Cancel any time with one click in account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period, so you keep the features you already paid for through that date.
There's no free trial because there's nothing to trial. The free plan already covers what most players need; premium is for supporters and power users who want the extras.
Why SnapComplete Charges at All
Running the site costs real money. The Supabase database, CDN bandwidth, match tracking infrastructure, and analytics add up to a monthly bill that lands whether ten people visit or ten thousand. We weighed ads early on and ruled them out: they'd slow the site and clutter the interface on mobile, where most of the audience lives.
Premium covers the work that only pays off for a subset of users. The completion timeline helps everyone; custom-date match history filters help the small slice of players rebuilding a specific season's stats.
Today's supporters keep it running. If premium ever went away, the free tier would stay intact, because the free features don't depend on premium infrastructure.
Common Questions About the Pricing
Can I cancel any time? Yes. One click in your account settings. No cancellation fee, no questions asked. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, so you keep the features you paid for through that date.
Is there a free trial? No. The free plan itself is effectively a permanent trial of the whole site. If you decide premium is worth the $5, subscribe. If not, keep using the free tier as long as you want.
Can I gift a subscription? Not currently. A subscription is per-account, not per-device, so account sharing works, but gifting someone else's account would still need their sign-in.
Do I lose my data if I let premium lapse? No. Match history, replays (up to the free limit), collection, settings, and everything else stays intact. You lose access to premium-only filters and sorts until you resubscribe. Starred replays beyond the free 3-slot limit stay visible in your archive but can't be unstarred and restarred freely while over the limit.
What payment methods work? Credit cards and debit cards through Stripe. No PayPal, no crypto, no gift cards. Stripe supports all major card issuers.
Is there a discount for students, creators, or anyone else? Not at this time. The multi-month plans are the cheapest route to the lowest per-month rate ($3.33/mo on the 6-month plan).
What about lifetime pricing? No lifetime tier. The site's costs (database, CDN, match servers) recur every month, so the pricing recurs to match. Multi-month plans are the closest equivalent.
Is SnapComplete a non-profit? No, just a small indie site. imjosh builds and maintains it, funding everything through premium subscriptions and out of pocket. Where the money goes is laid out on the About page.
